Obituary for Mark Steven Ball

Print
Mark Steven Ball, 67, of Porter, Texas passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017. Mark was born February 11, 1950 in Cherry Point, N.C., to Vernon E. Ball and Hazel Jane Pullin Ball. He had served honorably in the U.S. Army. Mark was a member of the Cut and Shoot Motorcycle Club. He played guitar with Nobody’s Home Band and enjoyed trail riding with the Big Dawg Trail Riders. Mark was his mother’s favorite and the oldest boy of 4 children born to the family. He played baseball and football for Kubaski High School in Okinawa, Japan. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pan American University. Mark was a happy, witty man, kind hearted man with a strong sense of perfectionism. He loved music and had a respectable collection of guitars. He was a good man who was very good in keeping touch with friends. To his children he was a perfect example of what a dad was supposed to look and act like. He taught them how to balance a check book, the importance of being punctual and experiencing everything life had to offer and most importantly to love completely. Mark Steven Ball lived close to the words written by Henry David Thoreau, “I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life.” Clearly Mark lived and left an indelible imprint in the hearts of all that knew him. Mark Steven Ball is survived by the apple of his eye, his daughter Candace Ball Condel and her husband Bryan of Gonzales, Sascha Kardosz and her husband David of Gonzales and Tiffany DuBose of Gonzales, his sister, Candace Francis and her husband Ken of Austin, his brother Jeff Ball and his wife Jan of Marble Falls, grandchildren, Ryland Condel, Ashtyn and Addyson Kardosz and Blaxton DuBose and his girlfriend Patricia Reed Constant of Corpus Christi, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Vernon Ball and a nephew, Clay Brinkoeter. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 with a 6 p.m. memorial service following at 6 p.m. with Kenny Hyden officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
