Lloyd M. Kurtz, 87, of Gonzales, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018. Lloyd was born April 23, 1930 in Waelder, TX to Frank and Ruby Clark Kurtz. He married Audrey Tharp on March 17, 1949 in Wrightsboro, TX and they were blessed with 68 years of togetherness. Lloyd was a member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church and a 50 years member of the International Order of Odd Fellows. Lloyd Kurtz is survived by his loving family, wife, Audrey Kurtz, daughter, Susan Alford both of Gonzales, son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Patty Kurtz of Victoria, sister, Gloria Worthington of Vidor, grandchildren, Amy Hempel “Russel”, Chris Kurtz “Laurie”, Becky Tolle “Scott” and Joey Alford, great-grandchildren, Ashley Hempel, Brittany Hempel, Scooter Tolle and Ethan Alford and a niece, Terry Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Joe Alford. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 14th in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 15th in the Gonzales Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. Clint Lowery officiating. Pallbearers: Chris Kurtz, Russell Hempel, Joey Alford, Scott Tolle, Larry Tharp and J.T. Tharp. Honorary pallbearers: Walter K.
