Georgia Mae Kiefer, 73, of Gonzales, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Georgia was born on April 20, 1945 in Gonzales to Emill Joe Filip and Mary Louise Brunkenhoefer. She married Raymond Kiefer on July 22, 1961 in Gonzales. Georgia was a member of Gonzales Memorial Heights Baptist Church. Georgia worked as a caregiver and in department stores. She also loved to bowl. Her favorite show was The Price Is Right, and she made sure to watch it everyday. Georgia enjoyed baking for her family. She was most praised for her peanut butter cookies and bread pudding. Georgia wholeheartedly cared for her family. No matter the circumstances, she was always there to support her kids and grandkids. Georgia Mae Kiefer is survived by her daughter, Judy Lynn Kiefer-Rudisill of Luling, sons, Kenny Ray Kiefer and Allen Keith Kiefer, both of Gonzales, sisters, Frances Cisco of Lakeland, Florida, Dorothy Dickens of San Antonio, and Ruby Dickerson of Westhoff, brothers, Marvin Filip of Gonzales, and Larry Filip of Westhoff, 4 grandchildren, and 12-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Ellien Hillbrich. Private family services are to be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
