Carol Ann Hausler, 75, of Gonzales, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016. She was born May 5, 1941 in Sonoma, California, the daughter of Franklin L. and Elaine Lyons Obenhaus. She married Vernon George Hausler February 1, 1962 in San Antonio. She was a graduate of Southwest Texas State and taught elementary school for the Gonzales Independent School District for almost 30 years. She was a member of the Monthalia Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and Sodoku. She also liked card games especially solitaire. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Vernon George Hausler of Gonzales; daughter Cindy Lynn Hausler of Gonzales; sons Stephen Scott Hausler of Mineola, David Ray Hausler of Gonzales and Dennis William Hausler of Seguin; grandchildren Shale Hausler, Shana Childers, Timothy Pergrem, Christopher Rodriguez and Alejandro Ramon; great-grandchildren Riker Childers and Riley Millican and sisters Barbara Stanfield and Nancy Karavas both of California. Also surviving is her loving companion “Lucy”. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, December 5 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Monthalia Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Monthalia Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home, Gonzales.
