Tomas Tommy Maldonado, 60, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Gonzales Memorial Hospital in Gonzales, Texas. Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Jason Martini officiating. Interment will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales, Texas on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 7:00 pm with Deacon Terry Brennan officiating. Tommy was born on May 5, 1955 in Gonzales, Texas. He was the son of Domingo and Sostenes (Galvan) Maldonado. He liked to BBQ for whatever event was happening, whether it is a wedding or birthday. Tommy was a lifetime cowboy, working cattle for Sam Turk for 21 years. He was a faithful , responsible, and dependable employee, a Real Cattleman . He would go on trail rides from Houston to San Antonio with other riders. He liked to help others in need. He lived on the highway and would sell used cars from his house. Tommy is survived by two brothers; Mike Maldonado and his wife, Connie of Bedford, Texas, Daniel Maldonado of Gonzales, Texas, one sister; Diane Camarillo and her husband, Kenny of Gonzales, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Domingo and Sostenes Maldonado, three brothers; Margarito Maldonado, Domingo Maldonado, Jr., William Maldonado, and one sister; Julia Leal.
