Obituary for Ruby Ruth Miller (Roeber)

Ruby Ruth Roeber Miller, 86, of Gonzales, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020. She was born February 12, 1934 to Henry G. and Norma Boening Roeber. Ruby married Billy Clayton Miller on November 25, 1950 in Cuero.

Ruby was a homemaker and seamstress with a talent for mending garments. She enjoyed preparing large meals for her family. Her cinnamon rolls, homemade bread and dill pickles were always requested.

Ruby is survived by her sons, Barry Miller and wife Judy, James Miller and wife Tammi all of Gonzales; grandchildren, Katherine Harkey and husband Kennon of Gonzales, William Miller and wife Lauren of Lockhart, Jonathan Miller and wife Amy of Portland, Mindi Windsor and husband Stephen of Round Rock, Monica Baker and husband Matthew of Gonzales; great-grandchildren; Blaine Harkey, Kamryn Harkey, Weston Miller, Kendall Miller, Abigayle Miller, Jasper Miller, Annabelle Miller, Maci Windsor, Morgan Windsor, and Walker Windsor; brothers, H.E. Roeber and wife Doris of Longview, Herbert Roeber and wife Frances of Paige, Norman Roeber and wife Ronda of San Antonio, Sam Roeber and wife Benny of Pearland, Doug Roeber and wife Emily of Houston, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Minnie Morton and brother Edgar Roeber.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2020 in Emmanuel Fellowship Church with funeral services following at 3 p.m. in Emmanuel Fellowship Church with Rev. Lynn Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Denton Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers: Kennon Harkey, William Miller, Blaine Harkey, Jonathan Miller, Stephen Windsor and Matthew Baker. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Fellowship Church, 1817 St Lawrence St, Gonzales, TX 78629.

Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation, church service and graveside burial rite.
