Ruben Ontiveros, age 54, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021. Ruben was born October 6, 1966 in Santa Cruz, Matehuala, SLP, MEX to Nicolasa Cardenas and Blas Ontiveros. Ruben is survived by his wife, Delfina Ontiveros; son Christian Ontiveros of Gonzales, Texas; and son Christopher Ontiveros of Gonzales, Texas; brother Armando Gallegos of Gonzales, Texas, brother Jorge Gallegos of Gonzales, Texas, brother Arturo Gallegos of Nashville, Tennessee, sister Juana Matmoros of Gonzales, Texas, sister Irma Ontiveros of Mexico, sister Florentina Blanco of Gonzales, Texas, sister Maria Cruz of Mexico and sister Maria de Socorro of Mexico. Mr. Ontiveros also leaved behind one Grandchild to cherish his memory. Mr. Ontiveros was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters. A visitation for Ruben is being held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Buffington Funeral Home, Gonzales, TX. A rosary will be said for Mr. Ontiveros on Wednesday evening, April 7th at 7:00 PM, Buffington Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Alfonso Moreno will be leading the rosary.. A Funeral Mass will be said Thursday morning, April 8th at 10 AM by Father Jason Martini. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery, at Seydler and St. Andrew St., Gonzales, Texas.
