Obituary for Roxy Dayline Gibson

Roxy Dayline Gibson, 68, of Luling, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at her residencein Luling, Texas. Cremation Rites are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date. Roxy was born on September 4, 1946 in Leesville, Texas. She was the daughter of Sie and Letha (O Neal) Gibson. Roxy married Edward Trimble on October 15, 1964 in Gonzales, Texas. They moved to Georgia, and Roxy became an officer with the Georgia State Patrol. She later returned to Texas and married Alvin Brister, Jr. in 1986 in Kingsbury, Texas. Roxy loved taking care of her grandchildren and visiting with friends. She enjoyed socializing on Facebook and playing the game Farmville. Roxy is survived by three sons; William Trimble and his wife, Angelia of Gonzales, Texas, Alvin Brister III and his wife, Lesa of Bellville, Texas, Jason Brister of San Marcos, five daughters; Dodie Wendel of Gonzales, Texas, D ann Trimble of Kingsbury, Texas, Holly Brister of San Marcos, Melissa Torres and her husband, Alvin of San Marcos, Texas, Donna Allen of Gonzales, Texas, one sister; Helen Ivey Arthunter of Clear Springs, Texas, one brother-in-law; Charlie Valentine of Gonzales, one sister-in-law; Janet Gibson of Luling, Texas, twentyfive crandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her special friend; Steve Benton of Gonzales, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sie and Letha Gibson, her husband, Alvin Brister, Jr., one son; Thomas Edward Trimble, one brother; Eugene Gibson, one sister; Opal Valenta, two granddaughters; Erica Marie Trimble, and Yvonne Dnae Dudley.
