Obituary for Rene Ramirez

On July 9, 2023, heaven gained a great man. Rene Ramirez was born April 5, 1994. He is a 2013 graduate of Gonzales High School.

Although Rene was a man of few words, he was definitely a man with many friends and a huge smile on his face. In 2016 he met the love of his life Heather Naquin. This was an instant match made in heaven. From the time they met, their relationship as both a couple and a family grew. Rene brought with him to the relationship Ayden, who was his pride and joy. On March 24, 2018, they were married. It was the happiest day of their lives. The smiles that day were only equal to the smiles on their faces the day Alexander was born.

Rene was definitely a family man! Whether it was doing the multitude of chores Heather gave him, or taking the boys outside to play, he always kept busy. He loved fishing with friends, family and his boys. He also loved partying with friends and family. He was an avid Cowboys fan and defended his “boys” in any crowd.

Rene loved all kinds of music, but his favorite musician was Koe Wetzel and looked forward to any opportunity he had to see him in concert. If there was an opportunity for him to do something outside, Rene was all in. He would never turn down a good time, or a cold beer. But most of all, it was important to Rene to spend quality time with his family.

Along with being a great friend and family man, Rene was a dedicated worker. He never complained about going to work or picking up a shift. Even when he was working in west Texas during the heat of summer he worked extra shifts.

Rene’s legacy lives on through his huge inviting smile which will be remembered by his wife Heather, his two sons Ayden and Alexander James Ramirez, and anyone that knew him. He is also survived by his parents Reyes and Maria Angelica “Helen” Ramirez, his in-law’s victor and Julie Alaniz, Jose and Laura Zendejas, his brothers Marcus Ramirez (Kimberly) and Matthew Ramirez (Amanda), sister-in-law Samantha Alaniz, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Seydler Hill Funeral Home on Monday, July 17th, 2023, from 9:00am to 9:30am with a Rosary at 9:30 am conducted by Deacon Alfonso Moreno. A funeral service will start at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Gonzales Memorial Park Cemetery.
