Obituary for Rayn Neal Pickett

Rayn Neal Pickett, 41, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, after sustaining serious injuries from a motorcycle accident. He thoroughly enjoyed riding his motorcycle and it’s only fitting that when he departed this earth, he took his last ride. Rayn married Miranda Henry on April 29, 2017 in Katy. He had a been a member of the First Baptist Church in Carrizo Springs.

Rayn was an avid baseball fan and loved the Atlanta Braves. He also found his passion in aircraft maintenance and could often be found under the belly of an airplane with a wrench.

Rayn is survived by his wife, Miranda Henry Pickett and their daughter, Katelyn Vick. He is also survived by his father, Travis Pickett, his mother, Sherry Hill, and his sisters, Misty Jones (Jasin) and Shara Krause (Michael Newton). Rayn is preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn and Shirley Pickett and Melvin and Dorothy Hill and two uncles, Troy Pickett, and DeWayne Hill.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5th at Thompsonville Community Church at 11am with Rev. Hollas Hoffman officiating. Pallbearers: Michael Newton, Donny Mathew, Josh, and Jason Hill, Jasin Jones and Ryan Jones. Honorary pallbearers: Roger Woolsey, and MCPOCG Jeremy Dyer. While the family appreciates flowers, if anyone wishes, they may also donate to either the Humane Society or Alcoholics Anonymous on Rayn’s behalf.
