Obituary for Nicholas Clay Pivoda

Nicholas Clay Pivoda, 21, of Seguin, Texas died on April 28, 2019. He was born on December 8, 1997 in Seguin, Texas to Frank “Clay” Pivoda Jr. and Holly Champagne. He grew up in Luling, Texas and graduated from Navarro High School in 2016. He was currently working as a flowback operator in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Nicholas (Nick) was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loyal friend and respected co-worker. He spent his free time exploring the outdoors and making people laugh. He was survived by his parents Clay and Carmen Pivoda (Seguin, TX), siblings Dalton Harrington (Seguin, TX), Karlie and husband Ethan Clendenen (Moulton, TX), Kyra Prukop (Seguin, TX), Christian Pivoda (Seguin, TX) and nephew Asher Harrington; Grandfather, Frank Pivoda Sr (Luling, TX); Grandmother, Irene Schulte (Hallettsville, TX); Grandfather, Joe Champagne (Luling, TX); his long-term girlfriend and favorite hunting companion Kaci Canova (Luling, TX) and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Nicholas was preceded in death by his mother, Holly Champagne; Grandmother, Marva Pivoda; Grandfather, Royce Schulte and Grandmother, Marilyn Champagne. Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Easterling, Carson Neuse, Connor Neuse, Cason Neuse, Eric Sobotik and Arnold Gonzales. Funeral services will be held at Central Baptist Church, 515 S Magnolia Ave, Luling TX on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at 10:00 am. Pastor Cole Philips will officiate the service. Lunch and celebration of life will follow at the Southside Clubhouse at Luling Municipal Golf Course, 1005 S Magnolia Ave, Luling, Texas.
