Obituary for Michael Seaward
Michael Ray Seaward, 69, of Nixon, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022. He was born in Austin, Texas March 9, 1953 the son of John and Cloa Faye Smith Seaward. He married Brenda Darlene Shannon February 3, 1995 in Austin, Texas. He was a retired machinist. He was a faithful member of Encouraging Word Christian Fellowship in Leesville. He was a good Christian man and was an ordained minister who was involved in evangelization. He taught Sunday School, played guitar and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife Brenda; daughter Amy Darlene Kent; son Larry Kent; brother Frank Seaward; nieces Erica and Tiffany Seaward all of Austin. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard Seaward.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 30 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the Encouraging Word Christian Fellowship with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the Nixon Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Josh McGaha, Tracy Shannon, Lester Moore, Tim Shannon, Aydin McGee, James Williams, Cody Kent, Zachary Kent, Roger Dyer and Richard Dyer.
