Mary Helen (Bazan) Grifaldo, 66, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas. Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Interment will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Deacon John Klapuch officiating. Mary was born on September 28, 1949 in Gonzales, Texas. She was the daughter of Jesse and Helen (Sanchez) Bazan. She enjoyed reading romance novels, and in later years, she used a tablet to read novels by James Patterson. She liked to travel when she had the time. She loved being with her family, especially the grandchildren, and others. Mary is survived by one son; Eric Bazan and his wife, Shay of Gonzales, Texas, three daughters; Patricia Longoria of Gonzales, Texas, Nicole Martinez of Gonzales, Texas, Claudia Bazan of Gonzales, Texas, seven grandsons, five granddaughters, three great-grandsons, five great-granddaughters, four brothers; Jesse Bazan, Jr. and his wife, Holly Oglesby of Amarillo, Texas, Jamie Bazan, Sr. of Gonzales, Texas, Gerald Bazan and his wife, Linda of Gonzales, Texas, Ricky Bazan and his wife, Carrie of Gonzales, Texas, and one sister; Becky Bazan Perez and her husband, Mike of Schulenburg, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jesse and Helen Bazan, Sr., one brother; Christopher Bazan, and one grandson; Andrew Ramirez. Pallbearers for Mrs. Grifaldo will be; Jesse Bazan, Jr., Jamie Bazan, Sr., Ricky Bazan, Roy Ramirez, Julian Longoria, and Adrian Longoria. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Katherine Big Bird bazan, and Eric Bazan.
