Luis Alberto Vazquez, age 48, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Luis was born June 27, 1973 in Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Rosa Contreras and Pedro Vazquez. Luis grew up in Mexico were he graduated high school. Upon coming to the United States he worked in construction to provide for his family. He really enjoyed working outdoors. Luis was a caring family man. His daughters were really special to him. Luis was always ready to help those in need out. He enjoyed wood working and he loved to barbeque. Though Luis had his favorite soccer team, he was always ready to watch any soccer game. Luis is survived by his wife, Cruz Amparo Salinas-Vazquez; his daughters Jacqueline Vazquez and Joselin Vazquez of Gonzales; his father Pedro Vazquez and mother Rosa Contreras of Mexico; his brother Arturo Vazquez of Mexico, his sisters Rosa Irene Vazquez and Gloria Leticia of Mexico. Visitation for Luis will be held on Saturday, September 18th, at 10:00 AM, at Templo Bethel Pentecostes Church, Saint Paul St., Gonzales, Texas. The funeral service follows at 11:00 AM. And the interment will occur immediately following at Saint James Catholic Cemetery, Gonzales, Texas. Serving as pallbearers are Angel Rosas, Jorge Lucio, Leonardo Lucio, Gregorio Vasquez, Rogelio Salinas and Mayolo Gaspar.
