Louis Contreras, 53, of Gonzales, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022. He was born February 25, 1969 in Gonzales the son of Fidel and Martina Ramirez Contreras. He was a self-employed contractor for many years. He enjoyed fishing, watching his favorite Houston Texans football team and playing the Texas Lottery.

He treasured time with his grandchildren, playing with his dog Mia, spending time with Mom and working with Debbie.
He is survived by his mother Martina Contreras of Gonzales; daughters Kayla and Courtney Contreras both of Gonzales; grandchildren Christopher Reyes, Kyndall Reyes, Kayleigh Reyes, Karley Reyes, Alyas Dominguez and Aliza Martinez; sisters Norma Contreras, Nora Matias and Leticia Ramirez all of Gonzales, Jamie Torres of Dothan, Alabama, and Amanda Ramirez of Waelder; brothers Fidel Contreras, Jr. and Manuel Almaguer both of Gonzales and step-brother Robert Mata of Rosenberg. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Ruben Contreras and maternal grandparents Pilar Ramirez and Luis Ramirez.

Pallbearers include: Christopher Reyes, Alyas Dominguez, Fidel Contreras, Jr., Angel Contreras, Nino Reyes, Alyas Ramirez, Jaime Zamora, Ayden Ramirez and Tyler Gonzales.
