Lauro Aranda Rubio, age 53, of Smiley, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Victoria, Texas. Lauro was born June 26, 1968 in La Borunda, Guanajuato, Mexico to Delfina Aranda Rubio and Alberto Rubio. Lauro worked as a carpenter to provide for his family. Always happy, he was his happiest when with his family. In his younger years, Lauro enjoyed playing soccer. As time marched on he still enjoyed watching a well played game. Lauro also had a love for cooking and a passion for gardening. Lauro is survived by his wife Catalina Rubio; his sons Miguel Rubio, Manuel Rubio, Juan Rubio, Alejandro Rubio and Lauro Rubio, Jr; his father Alberto Rubio and his mother Delfina Aranda Rubio; his brothers Simon Rubio, and Felimon Rubio, his sisters Margarita Rubio, Martha Rubio, Juana Rubio, Cruz Rubio and Audelia Rubio; and also his grandchildren Daniela Rubio, Diego Rubio, Francisco Gonzalez, Michael Gonzalez, Jayden Rubio, Jaileen Rubio, Jonathan Rubio, Brandon Rubio, Daisy Angel, Estrella Rubio, Juan Rubio, Jr., Guadalupe Rubio, and Laura Guadalupe Rubio. Lauro was preceded in death by his son Alejandro Rubio; his grandchild Jonathan Rubio.
