Juan Camarillo, 88, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Interment will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas. Juan was born Febuary 8, 1925 in Gonzales, Texas. He was the son of Atilano and Gabriela (Zamaripa) Camarillo. Juan enjoyed fishing and taking care of his yard and flower garden. Juan also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and giving the excess vegetables to family and friends. He was always ready to visit with friends and family. Juan is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents; Atilano and Gabriela Camarillo, three brothers; Ascencion Camarillo, Pablo Camarillo, Anselimo Camarillo, five sisters; Cristina Camarillo, Gregoria Camarillo, Concepcion Esparza, Antonia Ortiz, and Maria Martiez.
