Obituary for Johnny Carl Swenson
Johnny Carl Swenson, Sr. went to be with our Lord on January 7, 2022. He was preceded by his parents Elmer and Lillian Swenson and his brother Morris Swenson.
He is survived by his wife Susan; daughter Karin, son Johnny Jr. and wife Sarah; grandchildren Kali, Alex, Lilly and Isaac, brother Donald Swenson, nephews Douglas and Phillip Swenson and niece Linnaea Swenson as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was proud of his family, but the grandchildren were the “Light of his life’.
Johnny grew up in Pflugerville, TX where his family started Swenson’s Dairy. He retired in Thompsonville, TX in Gonzales County and started a cattle ranch. He always enjoyed farming and ranching but he found great joy in finding things others had discarded and making them useful again.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Thompsonville Community Church.
