Joacquin Raymond Gonzales, Sr., 69, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Funeral Mass and Cremation Rites are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Stan Fiuk officiating. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Buffington Funeral Home. Joacquin was born on May 1, 1949 in Gonzales, Texas. He was the son of Santos and Albina (Molina) Gonzales. Joacquin married Paula Carrizales on August 22, 1966 in Gonzales, Texas. Joacquin worked as a landscaper for many years. He liked to work in his flower and vegetable gardens, and going fishing. He liked to travel to casinos. He loved playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He would hook up the train to the tractor and give all the children a ride in the train. Joacquin is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years; Paula, four sons; Joacquin Gonzales, Jr. of Gonzales, Texas, Raymond Gonzales of Gonzales, Texas, Ronnie Gonzales of Gonzales, Texas, Ricky Gonzales of Gonzales, Texas, two daughters; Margie Gonzales of Scottsdale, Arizona, Brenda Gonzales of Gonzales, Texas, four brothers; Johnny Gonzales of Houston, Texas, David Gonzales and his wife, Lorena of Houston, Texas, Robert Gonzales of Oklahoma, Jimmy Gonzales and his wife, Lisa of Houston, Texas, three sisters; Janie Torres of Houston, Texas, Frances Cavallero of Houston, Texas, Mary Gonzales of Houston, Texas, twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Santos and Albina Gonzales, one son; Roy Gonzales, four brothers; Santos Gonzales, Jr., Cisto Gonzales, John Gonzales, and Sammy Gonzales.
