Obituary for Jeromy Michael Belin

Jeromy Michael Belin, of Gonzales, was a loving and devoted husband, father, son,
uncle, and an amazing friend. He was born in Houston on August 25, 1976 and he left this
earthly world on May 29, 2022, at the age of 45.

He loved his family and was always there to support his two children in all their
endeavors. Whether coaching or spectating, Abby and Blayne were always given advice from
their Dad on how to play whatever sport they were in. He carried that supportive, competitive
nature into guiding them through life lessons and always wanting what was best for them.

Jeromy loved and appreciated the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed an
occasional trip on the water for a great day of fishing with family and friends. Jeromy was a
member of the Memorial Heights Baptist Church of Gonzales. He owned Broken Branch
Custom Furniture and created amazing pieces for many customers. And if one business
adventure wasn’t enough, he was also a sales manager for Equis Financial attaining many new
friendships and clients from Texas and several other states. Jeromy was a member of the
Gonzales Masonic Lodge #30.
He served his community and state as a law enforcement officer
from June 1999 to May 2002 as a patrolman for the City of Gonzales. He furthered his career at
the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Department and served in multiple positions such as Patrol
Sergeant, CID Lieutenant, and Chief Deputy from June 2002 to April 2017.

Jeromy is survived by his loving wife Julie of Gonzales, children Abigayle Belin of San
Antonio and Blayne Belin of Gonzales, Mother Kathryn Peoples of Yoakum, Grandmother
Josephine “Gigi” Janak of Yoakum and countless family and friends that loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father Michael Douglas Belin, Grandparents Doug “Pops”
and Teddie “Nan” Belin.
