Guadalupe “Lupe” Torres, 91, of Gonzales, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021. She was born November 12, 1930 in Shiner, Texas the daughter of Alvino and Asusa Alverez Cortez. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter Gloria Medellin and husband Roland of Gonzales; sons Michael Torres, Jr. and wife Gloria, Jesse Torres, Carlos Torres and wife Sonia all of Gonzales; 23 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 4 Great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Miguel Torres Sr., daughter Cynthia Garcia, sons Alvin Torres and David Torres, grandson Joe Angel Torres, sisters Carmen Mendoza, Trinidad Vasquez, Helen Rivera and Theresa Rivera, brothers Jesus Vasquez, Faustino Vasquez, Concepcion Vasquez and Silvestre Cortez.
