Francisca (Gonzales) Fuentes, 96, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at The Heights of Gonzales in Gonzales, Texas. Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on October 6, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Burial will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales, Texas. Francisca was born on October 22, 1918 in Gonzales, Texas. She was the daughter of Romelo and Josepha (Ramos) Gonzales. She married Lorenzo Fuentes on October 14, 1933 in Gonzales, Texas. She liked to sew clothes for the family and she loved caring for her grandchildren. She was a faithful servant of the church, and a member of the Sociedad De Las Guadalupanas. Francisca is survived by one daughter; Virginia Rios and her husband, John of Gonzales, Texas, one grandson; Mario Rios and his wife, Cynthia of Gonzales, Texas, two granddaughters; Tracey Burton and her husband, John of Gonzales, Texas, Becky Gonzales and her husband, Mike of Pflugerville, Texas, one brother; Porfirio Gonzales of Mexico, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Romelo and Josepha Gonzales, her husband; Lorenzo Fuentes, one great-grandson; Zayne Burton, two brothers; Camilo Gonzales, Jose Gonzales, and one sister; Aurora Castro. Pallbearers for Mrs. Fuentes will be; Mario Rios, Jeremy Gonzales, John Burton, Mike Gonzales, Ckody Burton and John Angel Rios.
