Eloise M. Garcia, 90, of Gonzales, Texas passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at The Heights of Gonzales in Gonzales, Texas. Cremation Rites are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at St. James Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Inurnment will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales, Texas with Deacon Terry Brennan officiating. Eloise was born August 13, 1923 in Dryer, Texas. She was the daughter of Louis R. and Isabel (Navarro) Moreno. On December 12, 1945, she married Juan Mario Garcia, Sr. in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. From 1959 1992, Eloise owned and operated Eloise Beauty Shop. Her hobbies included cooking, taking care of her houseplants and enjoying her flower garden. Eloise is survived by one son; Juan Mario Garcia, Jr. and his wife, Rosalinda of Mica, Texas, one daughter; Rachel Trevino of Gonzales, Texas, six grandchildren; Johnny H. Trevino, Jr. of Gonzales, Texas, Bonnie San Miguel of Gonzales, Texas, Norma Jean Diddle Trevino of Gonzales, Texas, Juan M. Garcia III. and his wife, Stacy of Gonzales, Texas, Amanda Lee Sepulveda and husband, Ino of Gonzales, Texas, Alisha Renee Casarez and her husband, Michael of Victoria, Texas, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers; Moses Moreno, Manuel Moreno, one sister; Frieda Moreno.
