Elida Macias, 66, of Victoria, Texas passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Warm Springs Specialty Hospital in Victoria, Texas. Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at 10:00 am at Saint James Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Interment will follow at Saint James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, February22, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales, Texas. Elida was born on April 3, 1949 in Gonzales, Texas. She was the daughter of Pablo and Guadalupe (Leal) Macias. She loved to dance and listen to music. She enjoyed coloring, and she was a very special person who loved to laugh. Elida is survived by four sisters; Guadalupe Pompa and her husband, Nicholas, Jr. of Victoria, TX., Estella Villareal of Victoria, TX., Juanita Ordunia of Midland, TX. And Angela Pena of Smiley, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; Pablo and Guadalupe Macias, two brothers; Rudy and David Macias, and one sister; Maria Macias. Pallbearers for Miss Macias will be; David Mendez, Jr., Nicholas Pompa IV, Paul Villareal, Jr., Bobby Pena, Emilio Espinal, and Gabriel Pena.
