Obituary for Delia Gonzales

Delia Arrellano Gonzales, 66, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Warm Springs Specialty Hospital in Luling, Texas. Funeral Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 23, 2013 at Templo Bethel Pentecostes Church in Gonzales, Texas with Reverend Jose Campos officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. There will be a Family Visitation on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. ~ 8 P.M. at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales, Texas. Delia was born on October 12, 1946 in Gonzales, Texas. She was the daughter of Jose and Rosa (Cervantes) Arrellano. She married Alejandro Ortiz Rosas in 1962. Delia enjoyed working with the children s ministry, being a drama director, and writing skits, she was a solo singer, and also enjoyed working with the women s ministry. Delia married Primo Gonzales, Jr. August 26, 1981. She enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School. She was a Sunday School teacher and her first position as a church volunteer was taking care of the nursery room. Her favorite shopping places were the thrift shops in the area. She is survived by two sons; Jimmy Rosas and his wife, Rose, Isaac Gonzales, seven daughters; Rebecca Rodriguez and her husband, Daniel, Lori Enriguez, Dianne Bishop and her husband, David, Letty Rosas and her friend, Raymond Garcia, Asisla Rodriguez and her husband, Steven, Syria Campos and her husband, Alex, Cristalina Gonzales, three brothers; Manuel Lopez and his wife, Eva, Joe Angel Arrellano, Roland Arrellano, three sisters; Elida Santellana, Lupe Silva and her husband, Felipe, Sylvia Gonzales and her husband, Finio, twenty-nine grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jose and Rosa Arrellano, her husbands; Alejandro Ortiz Rosas (2004), Primo Gonzales, Jr. (2006), daughter; Diamante Gonzales, son; Alexander Rosas, Jr., three brothers; Rudy Arrellano, Albert Arrellano, Robert Arrellano.
