Obituary for Daniel Robert Rodriguez

Daniel Robert Rodriguez II, 24, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 while helping a friend in Gonzales, Texas. Funeral Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas, and will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Gonzales, Texas with Reverend Chris Irving officiating. Interment will follow at Gonzales Memorial Park Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas. Daniel was born on May 29, 1991 in Chatan-cho, Okinawa, Japan. He was the son of Daniel Robert and Rebecca A. (Rosas) Rodriguez. He graduated from Gonzales High School in 2009. He was the Yearbook Editor. Daniel was a Rock Hound , collecting rocks and polishing and cutting them to expose the beauty of the rock. Daniel was a people person and a man of few words. He was active in the Church Youth Ministries. Daniel gave people a place to stay until they could get on their feet, as well as giving stray cats and turtles a place to stay. Daniel is survived by his grandmother; Stella Olmos of Gonzales, Texas, his parents; Daniel and Rebecca Rodriguez, three brothers; Joe Angel Navarro and his wife, Melissa of Gonzales, Texas, Johnny Cruz Navarro and his wife, Stevie of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Jimmy Alexzander Navarro and his wife, Kari of San Antonio, Texas, three sisters; Danie Dae Moss and her husband, Joseph of Moss Mountain, Dauminique Dion Cardenas and her husband, Juan of Gonzales, Texas, Mercedes Rodriguez and her fiancé, Jessie of Gonzales, Texas, three nieces, five nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a MULTITUDE of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Alex O. Rosas and Delia Arrellano Rosas Gonzales, and his grandfather; Guadalupe Zavala. Pallbearers for Mr. Rodriguez will be: Johnny Cruz Navarro, Jimmy Alexzander Navarro, Jesse Lee Ramirez, Juan Carlos Cardenas, Brandon Ray Garcia, Jimmy Antonio Rosas, Joseph Eugene Moss, Maxwell Denton Neighbors, and Joe Angel Navarro.
