Obituary for Betty Jo Daniel (Stabeno)
Betty Jo Daniel, 79, of Gonzales, formerly of Austin, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021. She was born August 20, 1942 in Taylor, Texas the daughter of Albert E. and Viola Hanley Stabeno. She married Larry Daniel, Jr. December 16, 1960 in Austin. Betty and Larry moved to Gonzales in 1997 after Larry’s retirement. She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Heights Baptist Church.
Betty loved children and babysat for many while in Austin. She was a talented knitter and made afgans for many people throughout the years. Most of all she treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Betty Louise “Bobbie” Daniel of Garland, Donna Sue Olsen of Gonzales and Nancy Elizabeth Devon of Georgetown; son Todd Alan Daniel of Garfield Heights, Ohio; sister Donna Faye Balke of Dripping Springs and brother Albert E. Stabeno, Jr. of Spicewood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Terrie Padgett.
Pallbearers include: Michael Daniel, Bobby Barrs, Kevin Balke, Jake Stabeno, Seth Laundy and Caleb Devon.
