Annette 'Ann' Jane Nix, age 82, of Marion, Texas passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021. Annette was born January 29, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Myra Annette Reece and Edmound Lee Nix, Sr. Annette graduated from Saint Agnes High School. She then continued her education at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. To help pay her way through college, Annette taught swimming lessons in the San Marcos River. In 1979, Annette got saved and in 1987 went to work in the mission field in Honduras and Costa Rica. In 1994, she returned home to care for her mother. In 2000, she moved to Gonzales to be closer to family. Annette loved to sew and do crafts. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, other types of puzzles, and playing solitaire; but, most of all she loved going to church. Annette is survived by daughter Susan McGehee and husband Buddy of Marion, Texas; daughter Cynthia Herndon-Johnson of Willis, Texas; and daughter-in-law Patty Naylor; grandchild Brittany Richter, grandchild Collin Richter, grandchild Dustin McGehee, grandchild Ryne Johnson, grandchild Travis Webber, grandchild Anthony Naylor, grandchild Aimee Naylor, great grandchild Hylann James Curtis, great grandchild Brittany Betts, great grandchild Addison Betts, great grandchild Grayson Webber, nephew Scott Nix, niece Carrie Nix Kivela and niece Julie Nix Lebo. Annette was preceded in death by son Kevin Naylor; father Edmound Lee Nix, Sr and mother Myra Annette Reece; brother Edmound Lee Nix, Jr.; grandchild Howard Lee Dear.
