Obituary for Amara Estela Gonzalez

Our beloved daughter, Amara Estela Gonzalez, gained her angel wings and entered heaven on June 10, 2023. She was born on April 29, 2022, to Erik and Andrea Gonzalez in Seguin, Texas.
“Mara” was always seen with a big, beautiful smile on her face, and you could always catch her dancing. Oh, how she loved to dance. She had just learned to walk and recently added dance moves to her routine. She loved playing with her sisters and her favorite toys. Now she is dancing and playing with the angels.

She is survived by her parents, Erik and Andrea Gonzalez, her sisters Hayley Gonzalez, Ariana Gonzalez, and Amelia Gonzalez, her paternal grandparents: Adan and Asterline Gonzalez, her maternal grandparents Domingo and JoAnn Proa, her great grandparents: Sylvia and Richard Banda, Georgia Proa, and Eva Riojas and many aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her great grandpa Andrew “Otto” Padilla, grandpa Paul Villareal III, and great uncles Julio Proa Jr. And Marcos Padilla.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the rosary being recited at 7pm at Seydler- Hill Funeral Home, officiated by Deacon Terry.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiated by Father Jason Martini. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Christopher Contreras, Daniel Hernandez Jr, Daniel Hernandez Sr., and David Proa. Honorary Pallbearers include Jonathan Gonzalez and Domingo Proa Jr.

All services are under the care and direction of Seydler – Hill Funeral Home.
